Stride-by-step installation guide for UT ChE students enrolled in a class utilizing Aspen

NOTE: UTGUEST AND EDUROAM WIFI WILL Non Piece of work if connecting from campus; you must be connected to the UTEXAS WIFI.  If you are off campus, y'all must first brand a VPN connection (vpn.utexas.edu).

ASPEN CAN'T Exist INSTALLED ON A MAC.

Once your EID has been submitted by your professor, yous will need to complete the following steps:

1. Map a drive to your computer using the following path in the "folder" field\\austin.utexas.edu\deejay\che-share\aspenONE\V11 . The Drive letter doesn't matter.  Brand sure to uncheck "reconnect at login" and to check "connect as a different user".
   
2.  For the username, enter austin\your EID  e.yard.,

3. Note: Attempting this from on-campus will work best.  If you lot are off-campus you must get-go follow these instructions to make a VPN connection, and then proceed with the instructions.Connecting to the UT VPN Service
4. Once you successfully connect you lot will see the following:
   
5.  Open up the '3rd Party Redistributables' folder > open the Microsoft Net Framework... folder > correct click the NDP471.... file > run every bit administrator.
6. Open the '3rd Party Resdistributables' folder > open the Microsoft SQL Limited... folder > right click the SQLEXPR... file > run as administrator.
7. Get dorsum to the V11 folder > correct click Setup > run every bit administrator > select Install AspenONE products.
8. Uncheck Aspen HYSYS and Aspen Basic Engineering science Server.  Your selections should then look like the following screen:
   
9. Add together che-labman.che.utexas.edu equally the license server > ...install now.   It can take a long fourth dimension to install.  Somewhen y'all should come across the progress:

10. From the plan listing on your computer, navigate to Aspen Plus > Aspen Plus V11
